FAQs
-
PEMF therapy is a non-invasive modality that is generally well tolerated by both animals and people when used appropriately. Sessions are tailored to each individual's needs, with comfort and safety always being a priority. However, PEMF may not be appropriate for everyone, including individuals with certain medical conditions or implanted electronic devices. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian or healthcare provider if you have any questions or concerns before beginning sessions.
-
The frequency of PEMF sessions depends on each individual's needs, activity level, and wellness goals. Some may benefit from more frequent sessions initially, while others may benefit from occasional maintenance sessions. Whether supporting recovery, maintaining comfort, or promoting overall wellness, sessions can be customized to fit your horse's, dog's, or your own needs. We'll work together to determine a schedule that best suits you!

No, these therapies are not painful! You may be able to feel muscles pulsating with the PEMF, but it does not cause pain.

Patients with a battery implanted device such as pacemakers, cochlear implants, intrathecal pumps, etc. should not use PEMF as the magnetic fields may interfere with these devices. PEMF is not recommended for those who are or may be pregnant.
